  • What needs to be done in preparation?

    Our technicians will move furniture for you (with the exception of pianos, entertainment centers, and beds). We also cannot move anything if there are breakables on it, so make sure to move your picture frames, lamps, knick-knacks, etc. We will move your couches, chairs, dining room tables side to side and clean underneath them; then leave them on a foam block when we leave. Vacuuming in advance is also helpful!

  • How far in advance should you call to schedule?

    Depending on the time of year and your location, we usually can get you on our schedule within a couple of days. We have 24/7 emergency services available also.

  • What is our coverage area?

    We are based in western Michigan, with offices in Grand Rapids, Lansing, Muskegon, Holland, Kalamazoo, and Battle Creek. We do have a standard fuel charge, along with a trip charge for more outlying areas.

  • Do we use any dangerous chemicals?

    All the products we use are citrus-based, and safe for your kids and pets, as well as the environment. We leave your carpet at a neutral position, meaning it is not too acidic and not too much on the alkaline side either.

  • What is our process for duct cleaning?

    First, we will come in and take off all your register covers. We use a truck-mounted vacuum system and go down each register with a hard bristle brush that spins and scrapes all the dust from the inside of the duct. We clean all the way down to the furnace, but not the furnace itself currently. We include an odor neutralizer, which makes sure that you don't smell that stale dust smell. Finally, we put your register covers back on and that's it!

  • What forms of payment do we accept?

    We take cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover.

  • What about pet issues?

    We have a three-stage process for all your pet problems and can take care of them for you. All our technicians are trained in pet stain and odor removal and the products we use make it seem easy to get rid of them.

  • Do we offer gift certificates?

    Giving the gift of carpet cleaning is perfect for birthdays, Christmas, Mother's Day, or just because! You can purchase gift certificates for a set amount, or for a specific number of rooms. We can customize the gift certificate for you accordingly.

  • Can you adjust your appointment after scheduling?

    Upon our arrival, you may realize that you forgot about the basement or that the couch should be cleaned as well. No worries! At L & N, we can add or subtract any cleaning services that are needed or not needed. We allow time for adjustments between our appointments.

  • Do we handle water issues?

    Having a water issue is no fun, but calling L & N can make the process less stressful. We can get your water problems taken care of and have the damaged area look normal in no time. With 40+ years of experience doing water restoration, L & N is a local leader in this field. As installers, we can pull back your carpet without causing damage and then reinstall the padding and the carpet to its original state.
